…Ok, I pulled out my twix from my pocket and so I told her she heard me wrong, and I didn’t say shelooked like a fat…Oh wrong discussion! So with my “completely busy” schedule this summer between snacks, lunch, snacks, dinner, more snacks, and Mabinogi I have a crazy sleeping “schedule.” I wake up in the afternoon, fall asleep at morning, and vice versa sometimes.
WARNING NON MABINOGI RELATED:
I fell asleep around 8 am~ my time zone (EST), and woke up at 4 pm. Unbeknowest to me, I had an orthodontist appointment and had to get through a few hours of a few stores and driving, and finally had a chance to get on around 8 pm.

MMk, so logging on, I knew I had one goal. Gift Tarakae the 220k Cores’ Theif Suit in Tir. She wasn’t online, and Saffiela informs me she likes Pink/Purple. So I camped a good 10 minutes. I realized this was going nowhere, and being bored leads to me spending money. Since i had 4 50k bags, and had to hold 220k, I bought another 50k bag, but lacking 10,000g now for the Theif Suit.
A few Ciars later would soon replace my lost currency.
Smack!
And so I wait, I wait, and wait some more. Soon I get the idea of getting some reserve money before I deplete my whole supply of the shiny coins. I repair, restock, and buy my supplies and head toward Ciar. I’m strolling past the black wolves until I see a small window that says “Tarakae has logged in” and I am relieved of having her online so I don’t screw up the colors. We meet and greet in town, and chat. A bit fuzzy on the details due to bad short memory (which I’m still questioning the whole integrity of my writing).
So I buy her the thief suit (Now I REALLY need to start taking alot more pictures). She gives me her thanks (for a good few minutes). And then she exclaims that she has 5 minutes on her ciar basic pass! I start to have my doubts on how well the ciar basic will go, as I do not have much recent experience in it. We quickly run and finally get there with 2 minutes left, creating a party along the way. I had 70 bandages, but one feather, while Tara had 10. I was relieved when she agreed to just get a pass or two and get out. So a few rooms in we were doing pretty good, good resources, strategies, and above all, health. I was glad when Sickle Rhagodessas spawned inside an orb room. These would definetely drop a basic pass. We killed a few, one drops! Since we were going nice and slow at our own pace, we took each orb one at a time due to less aggro, and worries. But this proved to be a little more complicated than I had expected.
Now being satisfied with this one pass which I had, Tara pushes to keep going, and I reluctantly agreed.
I start paying attention to the two basic passes I obtained to keep track of time, as I knew all too well how long this basic run could last. Getting a bit repetitive I figured I’d go in the middle of a few Rhagodessas…and then realized how much of a bad idea that turned out to be. Luckily all monsters return…or try to return to their respective room. We ended up picking them off and continue.
With a total of around 2 deaths between the two of us, we were very excited upon reaching the third floor. As I looked at the passes, I was amazed that it had been over an hour since I picked them up. Repeating the same previous rooms, monsters, strategies only a dozen more rooms later we reach a sight for sore eyes. A room full of mimics. After selecting one, a Big, Red, and delightful key dropped. We resumed to kill the mimics, and combined our mimics for a grand total of 22, and decided I would keep the rewards, which I am thankful for.
We take a few turns and reach a room of four ratmen, I figured we’d just skip past them, and halfway through the room I noticed the big, looming door to the left and rushed out. I only aggroed one ratmen which luckily didn’t get very far. I told Tara my plan of changing my channel and returning to the same channel, so I may exit the party and dungeon. She agreed and understood fully, but wanted to eradicate the Ratmen before her big (LONG) boss battle. We destroyed them and I told Tara I’d give her an A-OK command to open the door, while I gave her the last potions/holy water I had. Proceeding my channel changes, party exit, and message, I hoped she wouldn’t disconnect or lose anything precious (especially that Cores’ Theif Suit). Now I had my doubts, but anyone would after thinking of the challenge it was for Tara to solo.
I go to town, cash in the mimics, resupply, and then head to ciar. Tara was talking while battling, and was asking for strategies, saying how many times she was dying, and other details. When she started fighting the golem, I knew that was the big… rocky step. While I was doing Ciar Beginner she was saying that she finally beat the golem! I was joyous and applauding her victory. She still had 2 skeletons to go through. I silently said to myself, no problem, right? Wrong. She said she died once every skeleton, and obviously had no problem with her Exp. When she started saying things indicating something bad, I was worried. She said she dropped her ring (I was thinking Goro’s Ring). When it turned out to be an enchanted accessory ring, I thought no prob, 5k for the ring, 2k for the fire elemental, and I can always get a Water enchant. She didn’t agree with me. She didn’t want to waste her money, and she waited the 18+ minutes on a new Nao Support Revival. I was really worried and stopped my Ciar due to my distractive worries. I prayed she wouldn’t disconnect, as we were both very choppy and laggy at times on the least busy channel. When she finally revived and said she was done I rejoiced and finished my Ciar.
I had figured I would go to town and relax there a few minutes. Suddenly I met Tarakae and she was talking in Guild Chat to meet with Kurimi, who was explaining she was trying to get out of an annoying conversation. So she finally changed her channel and we talked. Natoshi (Rikyu) was also online and we four met. Tara wanted to go give Goro his ring and talk to tarlach. Me, Kurimi, and Rikyu were left chatting to ourselves. He was really begging/whining for a Fire wandHe switched back to his main character, and I was behind him with the (shriek) face. (REALLY WISHING I was bright enough at the time to take pictures). Now Tara returned and we were chatting a few. Rikyu went back on his Alt, but Tara said she wanted to catch some Z’s and she left. I went to Ciar (being the Ciar maniac I am), Natoshi said he still wanted a fire wand. I didn’t have enough funds for such an outrageous weapon. I decided, what the heck. I went to Ciar and completed a good three or four when I see on the Guild chat that Natoshi found a Lightning wand he liked. I rushed through my ciar so I could run to Dunbarton and change to channel one. After getting 10 goblin fomors cashed in, I ran to Dunbarton (grabbing a few snacks while AFK). Upon Arrival Natoshi says only 8 minutes til’ color changes. I change my channel, and meet up with him at Stewart. He explains he wants a Fire wand and I thought to myself, “He was complaining about me not making it in time for the lightning wand…but he wanted the Fire wand…” Fire wand, being the pure wood they are (ironic), changes its colors indefinetely, so it looks the same brown every time I see one.
After buying him his gift, I summed up my grand total of officially gifting guildies the net total of 470k (Roughly). Now this, I thought, was a monumental milestone, to reach my motivational personal goal: Gift 1 million gold to more than a few guildies. After listing all the items I could recall I came around 470k. I ran to Tir, but not really up for any runs, due to the massive basic run that took a chunk out of my energy for Ciar, and the previous Ciar dungeons I’d already done, I logged off.
